Self-Care

Taking care of yourself is as important as taking care of your baby. If you are not well, both physically and emotionally, you will be less able to care for and to enjoy your baby. Your pregnancy and the birth have brought many physical changes and you may have lingering after-effects that need dealing with. This is especially true if you had a cesarean section or other procedure due to a complication. In addition to dealing with these changes, caring for your baby will bring new challenges for staying healthy. If you have concerns about your own health, you should visit your doctor. Don't put it off because of all of the things you have to do.
